Screenwriting via Skype Group Video!The Screenplay Workshop’s superb curriculum is now available anywhere in the world you have a high speed Internet connection! Our Screenwriting Workshop via live Skype Group Video brings you the same highly interactive experience you’d have if you came to our Austin classroom but without leaving your home. Utilizing Skype’s group video calling feature, the workshop meets live Saturdays 1-3:30 pm CDT from September 23 through Nov 18 (no class Oct 28). With Skype group video, you’ll be able to see and hear the instructor and your classmates, and the instructor and your classmates can see and hear you. Alumni News – HBO & Nicholls!!Katherine Craft won a HBO Access Writing Fellowship! The fellowship began with master classes at HBO’s Santa Monica offices and will continue through the year as Katherine works with the HBO executive she was paired with to mentor her. Louise Lynch is a 2017 Academy Nicholl Fellowshipquarterfinalist with her screenplay God’s Law. Her script will now advance for consideration in the semifinals. Liz Belile was hired to adapt Joyce Harlow’s novel The Susie House into a television pilot. Hannah Feller‘s screenplay War/Love was a finalist at Nashville Film Festival and Omaha Film Festival. Two of her scripts, War/Love and Swiftwater, were semifinalists at Austin Revolution Film Festival’s screenplay competition, as was Liz Belile‘s A Self Made Man. Dave Pantano‘s Backfired was a finalist in Filmmakers International Screenwriting Awards and a quarterfinalist in the PAGE Awards. Alumni: be sure to email us about your news.
