Alumna is Nicholl Semi-Finalist!!

Hannah FellerAlumna Hannah Feller’s script War Love has been named a 2013 Nicholl Fellowship Semi-Finalist!!

The Nicholl Fellowship is the screenplay competition given by the same organization that does the Oscars (the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences), and it’s the industry’s most prestigious, most generous, and most competitive award. Hannah workshopped War Love in this past spring’s Master Class.

Juliette Lewis and Breaking Bad‘s Aaron Paul will star in program alumna Kat Candler’s Hellion!!! Wow! This is the feature version of her same-named short that screened at Sundance. Hellion was also recently named a 2013 Austin Film Society Grant recipient for post-production funding. Congrats Kat!

Dana Cowden has been writing up a storm! Her feature
Not as Advertised was a semi-finalist in Scriptapalooza and
an official selection at the Oaxaca Film Festival. Her script
Sir Guinevere was a quarterfinalist in the WriteMovies Competition. And her short screenplay Ghost Dance made it to the quarterfinals in the PAGE Screenwriting Awards.
Way to go, Dana!

Andy Olson‘s new short film, Photobomb, will premiere at October’s Austin Film Festival.

Look for TSW Director Jill Chamberlain at the 2013 Austin Film Festival where she will be a moderator on various panels and a pitch competition judge at the Screenwriting Conference.
