AUSTIN FILM SOCIETY PRESENTS OUR INTRO WORKSHOP

On November 3, Austin Film Society presented our special intro class, the Story Structure Seminar, at Austin Studios. There were 17 eager participants who learned some of The Screenplay Workshop’s signature techniques for tackling screenwriting.

Jill Chamberlain (screenwriter, story consultant and Founding Director of The Screenplay Workshop) presented her acclaimed approach to screenplay story structure.  The session was jam-packed with information and included the groundbreaking “Nutshell technique,” a method to get to the guts of a story and assure that it is working. After learning the Nutshell technique participants say they never watch a movie the same way again!

STUDENT’S SCREENPLAY OPTIONED

The Screenplay Workshop alumna Hannah Feller has had her fantastic action screenplay The Money Flight optioned! Hannah wrote The Money Flight during the Winter 2011 Master Class.

Hannah has taken the workshop six times, and she has six screenplays to show for it! She is also in active negotiations with two more of her screenplays (including one option proposal on the table). Hannah is represented by legendary Hollywood manager Marion Rosenberg.
