THE SCREENPLAY WORKSHOP is the educational divison of Moving Pictures Productions, an award-winning film production company established in 1994.
Our mission is to bring the best in screenwriting instruction and story consultation to anyone, anywhere.
We offer ongoing group workshops, one- and two-day weekend intensives, and short courses, as well as individual, private consulting services including story consultation, screenwriting services, script doctoring, and private instruction and tutorials. We can work with your organization to tailor a seminar or workshop exclusively for your group, as we have done with past clients like Austin School of Film, Austin Screenwriters Group, Reel Women and The Writers Garret of Dallas.
All of our programs and services are available in-person and online via online video and/or teleconferencing.
JILL CHAMBERLAIN is the Founding Director of The Screenplay Workshop, Austin's only dedicated screenwriting program. As a screenwriting coach, story consultant and instructor, she's helped hundreds of writers find the best trajectory for their story ideas and given them the tools they need to fully execute professional screenplays. Jill is also a professional screenwriter and script doctor whose work has been seen in theaters across the U.S. and on three continents. Jill studied in the MFA film program at Columbia University, where she also received her undergraduate degree in English.
