THE SCREENPLAY WORKSHOP is the educational divison of Moving Pictures Productions, an award-winning film production company established in 1994.

Our mission is to bring the best in screenwriting instruction and story consultation to anyone, anywhere. We offer ongoing group workshops, one- and two-day weekend intensives, and short courses, and we also provide private consulting services including story consultations, screenwriting, script doctoring, and screenwriting tutorials.

All of our programs and services are available in-person and online via online video and/or teleconferencing.


JILL CHAMBERLAIN is Director of The Screenplay Workshop. She is also award-winning filmmaker and professional screenwriter whose work has been seen in theaters across the U.S. Jill studied in the MFA film program at Columbia University, where she also received her undergraduate degree in English. She works regularly as a writer-for-hire, script doctor and story consultant.
